The class will be taught from lecture notes.

Grading Policy

  • Midterm Exams: Two midterm exams will be given. Exam questions will be modeled after homework problems.
  • Final Exam: The final exam will be comprehensive with some emphasis on the last section of material.
  • Homework: The purpose of assignment homework is to help in learning lecture material and to prepare for exams. Problem sets will be distributed each class period and will be due at the time of the following lecture. Homework and lectures will be tightly coupled, with results from homework problems integrated into class discussions and playing an important role in the learning process.

Grade Rule

  Midterms:  60% 
  Final:  30% 
  Homework & Quizes:  10%
